With great lighting. Thoughtful posing. Expression. Styling. And all the tiny adjustments most people would never think about.
That's the part I know how to do.
I'll guide you from where to put your hands to the smallest changes in expression, then use professional lighting and retouching to create photographs that feel polished, modern, and a little editorial.

Before your shoot, we'll talk through what you're drawn to and plan the wardrobe, styling, backdrops, and overall look together.
Once you're in the studio, I'll guide you through posing and expression throughout the entire session.
Professional hair and makeup can be added, and the studio client closet is available for select looks.

02. WE PLAN IT
We'll choose a date and figure out wardrobe, styling, backdrops, and the overall feel of your session. Hair and makeup can be added if you'd like it.
03. SHOW UP
I'll handle the lighting, posing, and direction. Afterward, you'll choose the photographs you love and how you'd like to enjoy them.

A beauty session is a modern, editorial-inspired portrait experience designed around you. Think professional lighting, thoughtful styling, guided posing, and beautifully finished portraits — without needing to be a model or know what you're doing in front of the camera.
You can go full glam, keep it simple, celebrate a milestone, or book one for absolutely no reason other than wanting really damn good photographs of yourself.

Most of the people you see in my portfolio aren't models and didn't walk in knowing their angles. I'll guide you through posing, movement, and expression throughout your entire session — right down to what to do with your hands.

Beauty sessions can take place in my private photography studio in Slidell, outdoors, or on location throughout the Northshore, Greater New Orleans area, and Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Want city streets, an open field, your own home, a hotel, or somewhere completely unexpected? Tell me what you're envisioning and we'll figure out the location that fits it.
Absolutely. Your session includes wardrobe and styling guidance, and you'll also have access to select pieces from the Southern Lens client closet.
You can bring your own favorites, borrow from the studio, or mix the two. Multiple looks are encouraged, and we'll plan them beforehand so each one gives us something different to photograph.
Yes. Professional hair and makeup can be added to your beauty session.
We'll plan the overall look beforehand so your hair, makeup, wardrobe, and location all work together — whether we're creating something natural and understated or going full glam.
Yes. Multiple outfits are one of the easiest ways to create completely different looks within the same session.
The number that makes sense depends on your session length and what we're creating, but we'll plan everything beforehand so you're not standing in the studio with six dresses wondering what the hell to wear first.
Once we've chosen your session and date, you'll receive an online agreement and invoice. A signed agreement and retainer officially reserve your date.
Payment plans are available, so you don't have to pay for your entire experience all at once. We'll choose a schedule that works with your session date, with the final balance due before your session.
If you fall in love with additional images or artwork afterward, those are selected and purchased separately.
