Great portraits come from knowing how to use light, posing, expression, and all the tiny adjustments that make a big difference — without making you feel posed to death in the process.

I have tattoos. I have piercings. I swear sometimes. And I've been behind a camera since 1999 — which is mildly horrifying to put in writing.
I'm a mom to two girls, an animal lover, and a recovering restaurant GM — which means very little rattles me, and I can read a room like it's a survival skill.
Most people aren't naturally comfortable in front of a camera. They're not supposed to be.
You don't need to know your angles, how to pose, where to put your hands, or what to do with your face the second a camera comes out.
